the hostel exceeded my expectations. the owner was incredibly helpful, picking me up from the bus station, arranging transportation, and even helping me with a cash issue. the room was clean and the location was perfect for hiking. highly recommend Tangkou Haoshi International Youth.

wifi was weak.

I had a wonderful experience at Tangkou Haoshi International Youth in Huangshan. the staff went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They provided free pick-up from the bus station and the manager even upgraded my room for free. the food at the restaurant was delicious and there were plenty of shops nearby. the hotel was also conveniently located, just a few minutes' drive from the buses to Mt. Huangshan. Plus, each room had its own wifi router, ensuring a seamless internet connection. Cons: Nothing, it is perfect. ☺.

The paper-thin windows were excellently designed to let in all the glorious sounds of traffic. Who doesn't love being serenaded by car horns and engine revs while they sleep?

The hospitality, generosity, and owner's kindness were mind-blowing! The restaurant had delicious food at super low prices, and there was a convenient supermarket next door. The room was clean, spacious, and had great amenities like hot water and air conditioning. The laundry facilities on the fourth floor were a bonus. The staff were incredibly helpful, providing transportation and advice on our plans. The shared rooms had locks for added security. The owner's kindness throughout our stay was truly remarkable.

Great location away from the city, perfect for those who want to avoid crowds and enjoy easy transportation options. Attached restaurant with delicious food and the option to request special meals. Friendly and helpful staff, with the owner being particularly welcoming. Assistance with transportation, including pick-up from the bus stop and drop-off at the bus station. Clean and well-maintained rooms and toilets, with comfortable beds. Convenience of a store next to the property for hiking essentials.

Felt fine, nothing to complain about.

The manager was super friendly and spoke English. He gave us a better room for the same price and even offered free rides to the bus station. The hostel is conveniently located near many restaurants and shops.- The staff was very helpful in getting discounts for the hot springs and providing information about buses.

The wifi on the upper floors was not very reliable. The thin windows made it noisy due to traffic on the nearby road.

We had a fantastic stay at this hostel. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, going above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He picked us up from the bus station multiple times for free and even helped us buy bus tickets. Additionally, his shop near the hostel provided everything we needed for our hike, including tents and sleeping bags. They also provided us with a detailed map and explained the best routes for hiking. We were able to leave our luggage at the hostel while we spent the night in the mountains. The location was great and the room was very comfortable. The staff at the attached restaurant were also very nice, and the food was absolutely delicious. Throughout our three weeks of traveling in China, the staff at this hostel were by far the friendliest we encountered.

I keep coming back to this hostel because it has everything I need - Wi-Fi, laundry, air conditioning. The staff is helpful, they even helped me find my lost earring once. It's the perfect place for me, and I'll be returning for Christmas.
